So pick a different name. It's not a great hardship. Legitimate writers and artists have had to deal with this problem since, like, Captain America was created (no, long before that). It's a trademarked name. I mean, technically, you'd need to get Marvel's permission to have Captain America as your username, or to have a role-play based on it.
Seriously, I don't see the problem. "That name's taken" is something people have had to deal with since the Romans had to call THEIR war-god Mars instead of Ares.
