[opensource-dev] macOS -DVIEWER-CHANNEL

[Nicky Perian]

The same escape sequence on autobuild-1.0 and code from 5.0.7 works on win,
macOS, and Linux.
Also, the sequence works correctly on windows for both 5.1.0 and 5.0.7
