[sldev] Linking before compiling -> no successful build. How can that be?

Hi,

I tried to compile the viewer with the latest versions of the code (most
recently 1.4.0.0). It compiles really fine until the last step. "Linking..."
is done before "Generating Code..." which leads the compiler (MS VS 2005
Express, Win XP Prof.) to hang up. How can that be? I've tried on two
different Win XP Systems and even with different code releases. Please help
me as I'm getting crazing over it.
