It doesn't. Try running your plane into ban lines in a sim border.
Your plane will continue flying, even if you have configured it to go
non-physical and reset when you unseat yourself, and you will be
stuck in your flying pose with your controls going to the sim you're
in, instead of the sim your plane is in, until it goes off-world.
There are also situations where your avatar and its scripts happily
hang around in world for hours after your client has terminated.
I have not been able to come up with a workaround for this in LSL.
