[sldev] Legal questions for Linden Lab

Fair enough and the policy makes perfect sense (if we had forums /
another mailing list ready to go, that is), but unfortunately there is
bleed over that you have to accept.

For example, I proposed an architecture that was entirely technical -
but it is intricately involved in policy.   Would LL merge something
that allowed connections (say via RPC) to closed source plugins?

This has been the question since day one.  And yet, there is still no answer.

We're not discussing this constantly because we wish to nag or badger
but rather because there is a fundamental connection between code and
policy here that needs to be settled.
