We're not ignoring it, but we're also wary of holding back release and
keeping this in a branch. There's a lot of engineering time being
wasted because we're fixing bugs in the main branch that don't even
apply to the code in bHear, and a lot of danger is introduced as
merges between bHear and the other branches are getting increasingly
involved. Take a look at the block of reverted bugs that included
Gigs' animation fix for an example of what can go wrong here. Setting
that right pretty much ate a full day of the release team's time.

Different Lindens are going to have different takes - I've got a few
things I'd prefer to see fixed before release too, such as mouseless
usability for independent chat and IM windows. But I couldn't point to
any one problem and say it's a dealbreaker, and more important than
the cost and risk that the divergent branch is introducing. I also
don't have the bandwidth to drop tasks and work on UI stuff, which is
why I wanted to point to how sldev could take things up with Benjamin
ahead of offering patches in order to speed patch acceptance. I'm
really hoping we can get a quick follow-up revision.

Message liberation should hold up here. I think the currently deployed
server is capable of acting as the release version of the voice
server.

I don't know if it's set in stone, but the team's pushing to make it
part of the very next release.
