We're working on refining the next viewer update (1.18.3) right now.
This is based on a snapshot of internal trunk a week or two ago that's
being stabilized, at which point it'll be opened up for preview download
for testing. It won't be offered as a viewer update to users through the
regular download channels until it's had some time in preview to shake
out any showstoppers - details on this will be posted to the blog. I
thought we'd already posted the code...
/me checks the wiki...
Guess not - sorry about that. :( Expect it later today or tomorrow.
FYI, that does mean that several bugs "fixed internally" did not make
the cut - they're still winding their way through QA and either haven't
landed on the trunk yet or we branched off before they landed on the
trunk. We'll post both 1-18-3-Viewer (branch) code and release (trunk)
code.
Scream Real Loud if this isn't up on the wiki by EOD Wednesday (Pacific
Time).
And in general, Scream Real Loud if we don't post a new "release"
tarball once a week, even if it's not coupled to any particular release.
It's not guaranteed to be stable, but there's nothing that should stop
us from posting it.
