[sldev] Any description of LL GUI model?

Is there any halfway-usable description of the LLGUI model
in SL Client floating about somewhere?

I'm finding it difficult to determine what I need to implement
and subclass in order to build my own floaters, dialogs or just
plain widgets/controls.  Start from LLView?  LLPanel?

How easy is it to use the LLScroll... class?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
