[sldev] Introduction and Question

Hello everyone,

Quick introduction: I'm Patrick Ward; aka Damek Tretiak in SL. I run the
slquery.com site and am working on a few other projects. I'm excited about
the open source initiative. Kudos to LL for having the vision and strength
to follow through with this. It's a big undertaking.

I realize that the source code repository and syncing issue is still up in
the air. But, I'm wondering if the open source release corresponds to the
release that is schedule on Wed. of this week. Are there items in the Wed.
release that are not in the open source code that was released yesterday?
Also, is the new capabilities subsystem in the open source version? Or is
that primarily on the server-side?

I haven't gone through everything yet, so if that's in the wiki or code i
apologize. I did compile everything  successfully on both win32 and mac osx
though. Great job on the compile instructions and also for bundling up the
libraries for us.

I'll pop in from time to time and contribute where I can. Thanks for the
opportunities.
