Then it's a non-issue. The benefit for combatting griefers would be
immense, and people get their expectations adjusted.
IP's don't matter, it's the associations between accounts that do. I feel

You could already do focused marketing and spyware like prims based on agent
key. It hasn't been a problem. It won't be any more of a problem if IPs
were easier to get. The only issue here is association of alts.

Plus a good bit of cross corliation, and you'll learn what everybody's IP

the place is, the less certain you are of who is who. It would take a
coordinated effort and a lot of data mining to narrow down the possibilities
to 1.

I agree about the popups being a silly idea. You calling SL a game shows
off a bias though. This is a platform, and the expectations of privacy
should reflect that.
