I want the mute list to remain independent of the viewer, so that regardless
of where you're accessing the grid from, you still get the same mute list as
you would on your own machine. Plus, I'm sure there are plenty of people who
regularly access the grid from more than one machine (e.g., at work and at
home), and it would be annoying to have to maintain separate lists, I think.
