Don't think so. Connections tend to time out a lot due to the slowness,
which triggers all kinds of interesting edge cases. I'm too busy with
OpenJPEG at the moment to go debug them myself though...

Well, to have any chance, you have connect normally, make yourself a
platform way up in the empty sky with nothing around you, and disconnect
while standing on it. (One of those empty water sims might work too...)
Then run slviewer under valgrind and you just might get connected before
it all times out. And use a fast-ish machine. My wife's Athlon 64 3000+
laptop is just barely fast enough it seems.

Also you might want to use --undef-value-errors=no, as otherwise you get
a lot of spurious crap from the OpenGL drivers. And a lot of crap from
curl and such too, those should probably get fixed...
