	Thanks David and Douglas, you confirm what I was suspecting after
picking away at the system some more. I did find a note in the linux README
in the resulting distribution set specifically mentioning ubuntu+nvidia and
a need to load 'restricted copyright' drivers. It even gives a working url
for the ubuntu web pages about the subject! Sadly, the ubuntu web pages
instructions do not well match the tools on Dapper-Drake, so changeing the
driver has not been a snap. I will work on it more this weekend, trying to
figure out the correct access and install process.
