Here's my list:
Sitting on curved objects doesn't work a lot of the time.
UI is rendered together with the rest of the world, which means that if
your computer is too slow, the UI is also painfully slow. Especially makes
scripting annoying. I realize that this is seriously non-trivial to solve
though.
Experience-wise, many people don't get what's there to do around here. When
I signed up (about a year ago), IIRC, there was a checkbox to request a
greeter, but I doubt that scales well to the current population, and some
people said that it feels weird to bother some random person to help them
out.
Personal annoyance: When the mouse pointer is on the menubar, keypresses
activate menu options. This gets on my nerves because I'm a heavy keyboard
user, so sometimes I'll move the mouse aside to make some room on the
desk. If the pointer ends up on the menubar, starting typing results in
random unexpected actions, from teleporting home to requesting admin
status. During this, the chatbar retains focus, and the insertion cursor
still blinks in it.
