Sure it's easy to complain about how the decision was made but you have to
look past that at some point and actually look at the decision.

LL is a business after all, they bring in money and they spend it with the
hope the former is greater then the latter. For the open source community,
the concept of "cost effective" is unknown. This solution may not be the OSC
solution, but it is the business solution and it is here today. A bird in
hand you could say.

LL has stated they would use a comparable open source module if it were
developed. LL has already deemed that there aren't any. LL isn't a company
big on management, their programmers are empowered. It was programmers who
made this decision (if you think you can do better, LL is interviewing).

LL has a voice solution, and Open Source Community has been challenged to
write a better one.
