Rendering in stereo will always create a performance drop, but depending on
how much time is actually spent rendering will determine the severity of the
drop. The Anaglyph mode just renderings to the red channel for the left eye
and then to the Blue/Green channels for the right eye. So, there isn't any
form of filtering or color conversion algorithms in place. Also, there's no
memory increase since additional buffers/windows aren't required (same is
true for Active stereo). If Linden Labs goes heavy on shader usage, this
will likely change. However, for the time being, it's very efficient. Just
seeing Dale Glass answered these questions as well so I'll be quiet now. :)
