It's solving a problem that nobody has demonstrated actually needs  
solving, and that's a lot harder to solve than you seem to think.

If demanding evidence that it's worthwhile trying (like, providing an  
example of a real situation where it would have prevented an exploit)  
is "not listening", then I guess I'm not listening. Sorry.
