AFAIK, the viewer will automatically fetch UI textures if needed if they
can't be found locally.

Now, with the size of the artwork package, that could take some time,
and meanwhile you'd have things like missing icons in the inventory.

Also, I remember discussing with Soft that there's a possibility that
textures used in this way might suddenly disappear from the asset server
if they're not referenced anywhere in-world. This is probably not a big
deal for LL, who can make an exception, but third party viewer makers
should have this in mind.

Perhaps one way of doing this would be to add a texture download stage
to the login process, and cache them permanently. Shouldn't be
difficult.
