[sldev] Interesting IP connection activity from Second Life client

If you take a look in the code, I think you'll find it makes a normal  
non-mozlib http request to determine whether to show the moz splash  
or the canned splashscreen. Perhaps this extra "ping" request could  
be removed if mozlib is disabled.
