The closest we have to this is the binary plug-ins as posted about
earlier on this list.
A more dynamic model may have finally been agreed upon based on python
and mono extensions. Python is already available, as in under approved
licenses and a ready module, to add into the viewer. It just needs hooks
to make it active.
