The diagrams and architecture discussion were very careful to use the 
word domain instead of host, since people can get confused and think the 
word host refers to a server. A domain could be running alongside 
several other domains on a single machine (even have multiple domains in 
a single process), or be spread across thousands of clusters around the 
world. The architecture only makes definitions of trust networks and 
protocols, so the implementation is left completely up to the providers.
