[sldev] Google starting 3D world?

Hi!

I think one of the originating articles is here:

I am just not sure that the simple question for a GMail account in that
questionaire allows for such conclusions that
Google is prepping a 3D world. It could also be simply a Facebook competitor
without any 3D attached as the November 5 link implies.
Probably it could not even be Google although of course there are many links
between ASU and Google.

So I guess we will find out on November 5th. At least regarding what
interfaces there might be, maybe a 3D world might
take a little longer. Of course in the end it will all grow together at
Google.

(then I'd say that many people are expecting Google to add avatars etc. to
Google Earth at some point anyway so it's probably
just a matter of time. I think they are mostly waiting for our architecture
working group to finish it's project ;-)
