I already provided one.

Another is that not everybody involved in moderation has the land 
permissions for it. For example, in Luskwood we have a large group of 
people that moderates by using a script, of which I am one.

Making the banlist unavailable to the viewer would mean I could use the 
script to ban somebody, but then unable to see who's in it, which is a 
weird situation. Knowing who's banned also makes it possible to have a 
discussion about who should be or not in the list among normal people. We 
moderate for the people's benefit after all.

From a community point of view, the idea of having a secret list of people 
who aren't allowed and which can change at any time without anybody but 
the people with land privileges being able to find about it seems very 
community-unfriendly.
