[sldev] 100% repro issue with release 1.19.1(4)

I've *heard* (means I'm not sure) that the latest RC used all CAPS and no
UDP. If this is the case, walking might appear somewhat differently if there
were some network lag as the packets can get stuck in a buffer somewhere
waiting to be delivered, and not discarded as they might be with UDP. Anyone
else with a better understanding care to comment?
