LIB_NDOF is defined by default in the new branch, meaning
ndofdev_external.h and libndofdev.dylib are required but not included.

Having temporarily patched in the old versions I was using
previously, I can't seem to actually move forwards using it at the
moment (I'm guessing that's because I'm using the old lib), but I
have to say being able to even just steer with the Space Navigator is
a revolution (vague pun intended :) A big thank you to those that
made this possible :)

I think this makes the SN the killer 'must have' peripheral for SL.
Having just used it for flycam control the last few months I'd be
lost without it, especially when building. Now being able to control
avatar motion entirely with one hand, and still use the mouse/
keyboard with the other makes it completely indispensable.

One thing I would request is a tick box to disable the automatic
switch to the build manipulation mode, I find it more useful to use
it to move my camera around the work-piece, rather than to move prims
with it. Though puppeteering objects around the room with it was
quite fun, it's far to easy to accidentally nudge the SN while in
build mode sending whatever you have selected off to some random
position and rotation. It might be more useful for editing if it
followed the snap to grid setting, making precise adjustment with it
easier.

... and yes having spent 5 minutes in world with the new colour
scheme just to test this, I now have a major headache and am off to
bed :S

Aimee.

(SL name Aimee Trescothick).
