[sldev] Error:unknown option -p when compiling out of the box on Mac

After compiling the 1.20 RC in Xcode (where it runs fine), running  
Second Life.app from the finder pops up a dialog saying:

"Second Life found an error parsing the command line. Please see:  
http://wiki.[blah blah]  Error: unknown option -p".

... and then dies.

Removing all my settings files and scratching my head a lot seem to  
make no difference. I get the feeling I'm missing something  
obvious :) anyone point me in the right direction to where the -p is  
coming from? Relevant bit of the log attached below.
