[sldev] Error:unknown option -p when compiling out of the box on Mac

That unknown command line options are no longer ignored has been added 
by the recent changes only.

I know that it wasn't the case before since I always mess up the options 
(too used to the convention of prefixing "--" to long command options) 
and noticing only later after login which of course required a relog. :)
