If I'm not mistaken, the US military developed the ARPANET and that
eventually became the Internet.So, an US-led approach can work.

The ISO approach can also work. Or not. If you want to pursue that path, I'm
entirely supportive of it.

One thing doesn't prevent the other... what matters is the idea...bring
virtual worlds from the BBS age (the current situation) to the
Internet/metaverse age.
