Agreed (and commented elsewhere). If there are only a few events the  
current interface is really pretty good. It's just that it's easily  
overwhelmed, and attempts to deal with that have not been very  
effective.

Also, if you recall my first comment on this subject, in control  
systems critical alarms (or in this case events that require actions)  
remain at the front of the log (in this case, they wouldn't scroll up  
and get lost until they were actually acted on).
