[sldev] 1.19.0 Group Chat

I assume you mean on the communications window. I think the design so
far is just about perfect.. it just needs a little tweaking, and being
fully implemented before being rolled out.

I wouldn't change anything so far, in reference to the proposed design
in so much as I'd simply add a drop down box setting in the group
window, right next to the one that lets you choose your current group
title. The options would be pretty simple: 1) Do not autojoin group
chat on login. 2) Auto join group chat 3) Auto join group chat
(Passive)

Passive would be the same as passive mode is now, while option 2 would
open the group chat window automatically (With a message "Joined group
chat.") These settings would be per group.

In addition, I'd add an option under the Preferences that allows a
user to default to "Passive" mode whenever they close a group chat
tab, as opposed to leaving the chat entirely. (But also include a
full "Leave group chat" button as well.) This would make people who
want to hear group chat but have a habit of closing group chat
windows, without intending to leave the chat, happy.

But like others, I feel these things should be fully implemented
before any of the changes go live.
