This reminds me of when LL took away the ability to view textures/snapshots
in non-fixed aspect ratios: a completely arbitrary decision that really
doesn't make sense, affects everyone, and makes a feature less useful.

A lot of people are going to complain that "See? LL doesn't listen to its
users!" and in this case, they'll be right. Looking at
https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-64, I see 301 votes for an option to
OPT-OUT of group chat, not opt-in. How often do LL's usability people
actually spend inworld? Do they have active social participation? Because
I'm really confused how you can be active in SL and think that this solution
is better than the one residents have asked for (and have been asking for
for a long time).
