Huh? LL allows that by their "GPL exception".
LL as the copyright holder is free to dictate their terms, including "GPL,
with these exceptions".

That's a bit overdramatic, it wouldn't.
KDU isn't necessary, OpenJPEG already works. Fmod isn't strictly necessary
either, for instance it doesn't work on AMD64. So when I release my 64 bit
Linux version it'll have neither KDU, nor Fmod.
