Yes, I can confirm this. I built the Cool Viewer,
including Marines RLV 
patches, with the old VS and it doesn't crash. Similar
reports from Mo Noel 
who built RLV for Mac and also doesn't have crashes.
Seems indeed to be 
compiler related.
