I don't believe that it's possible to create an avatar in WoW that
will look like any of my avatars in SL, and frankly I have no
interest in playing Warcraft or Everquest or any other MMORPG until
that changes.

Up until QT 7.3.1 you could play Flash animations inside quicktime,
and Quicktime is just a packaging mechanism for various codecs, many
of which can also be used by Quicktime. This is not a matter of
translation, it's is a matter of both Flash Video and Quicktime
supporting the same standards.
