It is not just a question if Blizzard and Sony would like that, but also a
hardware restriction. They keep avatar modification down, to ensure a
reasonable group of people can run the game decently. So even if they are
friendly to the idea to let you pay to have your custom avatar, on a large
scale it would have a deteriorating for their other customers experience.
