This is a whole topic on its own. We really need some general Linden
input on this.

I'm not currently prepare to release any patches that open these formats
up to casual picking of files nor do my releases have such patches even
though its a trivial patch.

Yes, i am about to start testing this aspect too but someone reported
that some things can get cached corrupt which is annoying and we would
have no way to remove them at present.
