Well, first, streaming audio and video is "provided for", but it's  
hardly important. I don't even have Quicktime installed on my  
Wintendo any more. Voice is provided for but it's got negative value  
as far as I'm concerned: the only times I've used voice have been  
times I've been more or less forced to by other players if I wanted  
to participate in something, and the experience was entirely unpleasant.

I'm not suggesting it as something "provided for" at all. What I  
suggested as a sim-level data bus to *avoid* having to use it, and  
the suggestion that IF that proved insufficient for some third-party  
plugin or viewer THEN you could negotiate some kind of P2P  
arrangement over it for users that chose to use it.

I'm simply saying that using P2P needs to be explicitly requested by  
the user and explicitly approved by the user when it's required, just  
like streaming video is.
