One issue to keep in mind is that LL is committed currently to using 
http or some variation for virtually all of its communications needs 
between client and server. Because of the http/1.1 recommendation for 
having at most only 2 http connections between client and server, their 
first response will be to point to the preceding requirement and any 
suggestion about communications will have to fit into that 2-socket 
requirement in some way.
