Open Grid Identifier Notation - Proposal draft 1

As part of some internal software development, we've had a need for a
generic identification scheme for 'grids' and their major components.
Rather than invent something behind closed-doors with high probability
that something similar will be needed and re-invented by the VW
community in the near future, we decided to come up with a proposal
for open discussion.
The 'grid identifier' notation proposed is fairly simple and takes
into consideration the work of the AWG, the SLGOGP draft and 'current
practice'.

In short, we're proposing using a domain-name-like system for
identifiers, but with the components reversed so as not to have them
confused with DNS domain names. For example, "com.secondlife.agni"
could be the identifier for the SL main grid. There are also specific
identifier types for VW components, such as SLGOGP's "agent domains"
and "region domains".

The proposal doesn't dictate how identifiers might be used or
how/where they're managed. It would be up to other parties to build
lookup, discovery and other services utilizing them (which can be the
subject of future independent proposals).

Feedback and criticism welcomed and appreciated.
