[sldev] [VWR] Scale not sticking

I found a repro:

1) rez a cube
2) resize it to 0.1, 0.1, 0.1
3) shift-drag to make a copy
4) shift-click to add the other prim to the selection
5) control-L to link them together
6) select "stretch" radio button and drag a white handle to shrink the
object as far as you can

When you release the handle, one prim snaps back to its original size and
location. You can see the wireframe of the other one inside it, still sized
correctly. When you exit edit mode, the other prim returns to its original
size and location, too.

I'm able to reproduce this from two different accounts in two versions (
1.18.4.3 and 1.18.5.3).
