I would love a consistent 10fps.  Right now I get like 35 fps in empty 
places, around 10 when I first enter a crowded area, and around 0.25 or 
worse sometime after that for no apparent reason (at which point I have to 
turn off prim rendering and sometimes even AV rendering just to be able to 
chat and IM).

10fps is for me quite usable.  Higher would of course be better.  *8)
