[sldev] Source code in the wrong language?

Currently only the combobox has the ability to distinguish between the  
name of a selection and the text value of the selection (which will be  
localized).  We need to apply this uniformly to scroll_list widgets as  
well.  Meanwhile, using an index will suffice.
