No, I'm not "misinformed". You've exposed your hand clearly in the language of the manifesto: "
A vast throng of paying customers who want the Viewer to remain constant and familiar.
If the Viewer changes, they are forced to spend effort relearning it.
The most vocal and abusive users even meet change with sneers and
insults
That's inciting hatred, and completely misrepresenting the majority of viewers, as I already explained. Who are you to arrogate yourself to deciding what is "better" for the public? The tone of this exercise is really the most arrogant kind of hubris I've seen in a long time. You imply that people who disagree with your strange ideas (like removing SEARCH) are FUDites or Luddites who "can't accept change," when it's merely common sense resisting idiocy.

It doesn't *matter* if literally the goal of your project is "not to implement" your particular viewer as it was displayed in Dusan's contest. The *thinking and ideology* that went into your particular viewer bleeds through everywhere in a project like this, as we can see from its manifesto, and is yet another example of how "things that are supposedly purely technological" in fact are deeply, deeply political. The complete absence of search is the first tip-off.

Why do you think you and your little group of friends get to decide what is useful for the public? And why are the Lindens promoting this?! It's not at all constructive, it's destructive.
You do not not have the public trust in the matter of deciding what is "useful" or "intuitive" for the viewer, Jacek. You've already shown your infinite scorn for the public by the untrue things you've published by "the vast majority".

Really, you need to keep your paws off our viewer -- and stop this fake exercise of "soliciting only constructive views" so as to remove any objection to your high-handed takeover. So much damage has already been done to us with Windlight, which really destroyed the use of SL for so many of us; that blisteringly blinding Dazzle was such a disaster, that the Lindens really need to stop inciting destructiveness to their world and the vehicles for viewing it and enhance stability and usability.

Just because some small group comes along and declares enormous scorn for what they claim is a majority view (and how precisely did they measure that?!) and just because they claim they have some "insight" into what is usable doesn't mean they offer anything viable.
