This is really a convergence of two topics, I think: one about improving
the current SL group IM (which might well be best in the JIRA), and
another about what needs to be in OGP to support inter-grid group IM,
regardless of what SL uses to implement it. Is there a better list than
sldev for the latter purpose? Or we could start beginning the subject
lines with [OGP] or something to warn people off. :)

As required by Federal law :) I point at:
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Dale_Innis/Group_IM_in_OGP#A_Simple_Design_Example
and the rest of that page as well, and beg for contributions.

I think it's reasonable to talk about requirements and desired features
and all even if one isn't planning to start writing code right away? :)
Although this might not be the right venue for that discussion. For what
it's worth, at some of the recent interop-related meetings, it's been
suggested that the next POC that we tackle (after raw AV TP and before the
complexities of assets) might be intergrid IM; that's why I started the
Wiki page in the first place. So there are at least some coders with
itchy fingers!

Where should we move the OGP-relevant parts of the discussion? My
constantly beating people over the head with the Wiki link hasn't been
working so far... :)
