[sldev] Terrible performance in http-texture

Yahuza! I haven't noticed that bad of a perf drop *unless* I turn the
shadow rendering on in which case it is, indeed, unbearable.
I usually don't turn on the fast timer so I haven't noticed the
disappearance though I noticed when using it (on a trunk build) that
one can easily get spurious clicks captured on the hierarchical
display (and then display closed) especially when the perf are bad.
