The builds of April crash for me, I have yet to try out earlier builds.
The thing is, I am running a newer system configuration that might give
problems(And Well ATI and SecondLife, bleh.)
Core i7(Which SecondLife reports as a P3 all the time) and a ATI 4870 x2.
We shall see what the next builds will bring.

the http-texture binaries linked from the open source
portal page were built 1-2 days ago:
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Open_Source_Portal

you can also look for emails with subject
"Successful Build for http-texture" in sldev-commits archives
https://lists.secondlife.com/pipermail/sldev-commits/2009-April

if you're on Linux, here are two unofficial March builds
from render-pipeline branch (could disappear soon):
http://drop.io/linuxshadows

If you don't mind to compile, I'd suggest to build yourself
a viewer from render-pipeline branch, as unfortunately,
new "projected texture" features weren't committed to
the http-texture branch. And those features kick asses
(custom textures that cast shadows from objects - not
from sun/moon only)
