[sldev] Writing a FindNDOF.cmake

Thanks a lot guys, I have waited almost one year to see those patches
integrated in the standard client. local IT from a federal institution had
prevented me from installing patched clients (because of FISMA regulations)
and I had to pull off any plans that involved using the space navigator.
