[sldev] Requesting a commit of SNOW-97 aka VWR-9287

Hello all,
We talked about this yesterday at the open source meeting:

VWR-9287 / VWR-12385 is already in maint-viewer-15, but the conclusion of the 
discussion was that it makes sense to have it in Snowglobe.

The patch is pretty simple and well isolated (same patch applies to maint-
viewer-15 and snowglobe,) only adding lines and only touching one cpp file and 
one xui file. Since it is in maint-viewer-15, I think it can be considered 
reviewed.

Since I don't have commit access to Snowglobe (probably a good thing...) I am 
looking for someone to commit it, if no objections are raised here.
