[sldev] Snowglobe 1.0.3 and more on SNOW-2

Hi folks,

First, a note to let you know that Snowglobe 1.0.3 is now the default
download on the main page.  You can now download it here:
http://secondlife.com/download

Assuming we don't hit any major problems with it, we haven't decided yet
if we want to force upgrade on this one or not.  Rather than get into a
long on-list discussion on this topic, I've filed a JIRA task for people
interested in diving in:

On to Snowglobe 1.1 news.  Yesterday's Snowglobe 1.1.0.2548 build was a
bust on Windows, which we needed to revert to 1.1.0.2547, though Mac and
Linux users were able to use it just fine.  2547 has the fix for
SNOW-103 but not for SNOW-2.

There's now a new 1.1.0.2554 build which should have the SNOW-2 bug
fixed.  I tried running the build myself on a Windows box sans dev
environment, and it seemed to run fine.  We've had some general build
issues which caused the Linux builds to be delayed, but there's no
substantive change between 2547 and 2554 for Linux (or Mac) users

It's hard to tell where we're at without corresponding usage numbers for
2547/2548, but we're not getting many crashes.  Here's the stacks we do
