Regarding upgrading the modeling tools, is anyone familiar with a 1988
Macintosh CAD drafting program called Ashlar Vellum and their
"drafting assistant"?


You need to watch this video. YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS VIDEO. After
about 30 seconds this video gets to the really important bits.

Though they are making fun of and are comparing themselves to the old
pre-Windows DOS AutoCAD, their complaints can also be used to directly
body-slam the current SL drawing tools.

THAT is what I want to see the SL client to be capable of doing.

Their software is over 20 years old now so the the patents (if any) on
their drawing assistant concept have expired.
